Top value, totally sorted and smoothly surefooted ride, but no ISCG mount

The Blue Pig is the smooth steel option in Ragley’s three-bike range and it’s a truly standout radical terrain ride.

The chromoly steel tubeset meets CEN standards, and is triple-butted internally and externally with a ring-reinforced plate and block gusset backed head tube.

It can handle forks up to 150mm (5.9in), and the split-plate three-finger chainstay plate gives 2.5in of tyre clearance. Moveable bolted clips give multiple cable and brake routing options, but there’s no ISCG chainguide mount.

Most importantly it rides really well. Its weight is okay and the skinny 27.2mm seatpost amplifies its springier, rock-dampening and traction-boosting steel feel. The long top tube and 67.5-degree head angle work superbly with a short (50 to 70mm) stem. The price is very good too.
