The Whyte is a singletrack winner thanks to its handling and versatility. The inset head tube keeps things low up front while multi-shaped and double-tapered tubes throughout maximise power transfer and accuracy.
The hinging dropouts allow singlespeed chain or geometry adjustments – just don’t catch your shorts on the big seatpost quick-release.
While the frame is light and responsive, the head angle is a slack and stable 67.7 to 68.2 degrees with a 120mm (4.7in) fork as recommended.
With a stiff bolt-through fork plugged in you can nail it into corners or sketchy sections with confidence. It’s more predictable than longer-travel lightweight frames, particularly on steep climbs or descents.
