It’s all too easy to ruin bottom brackets in foul UK conditions, but replacement options have pretty much been down to own-brand units from Shimano, RaceFace or Truvativ for some time.
Hope make some beautiful bottom brackets, but if they’re out of your price range, check out the excellent Acros units – which offer exceptional value, class looks and very, very good bearings.
We’ve been running this bottom bracket for around five months in all conditions and have been nothing but horrible to it with a jet wash, and it’s laughed everything off, which is more than some big brands do.
