Black, quality callipers that are Shimano compatible

FSA is better known as a manufacturer of finishing kit components such as handlebars and headsets, but already has a front mech to its credit and a complete groupset is expected.

The FSA callipers are outwardly similar to the Mavics in that they are black and both of dual pivot design, but the presence of a quick release lever here makes them compatible with Shimano STI levers and indeed Campagnolo Ergopower levers that already have a quick release button.

The brake blocks are a dual density compound that helps to reduce squealing on long fast descents and stopping power in wet or dry is exemplary. FSA's Energy brakeset is a more affordable £87.95 and replacement SLK pads are £19.95.
