Funn have added three brakes to their hardcore component line-up – the F2 comes between full carbon F1 and basic F3. Those startled by the red-green colour scheme will be relieved to know it’s a Christmas special.
Braking performance is good. The lever shape gives authoritative and easy control of decent stopping power and an adjustable hose banjo makes flush fit easy.
Rotors of 185mm and 203mm diameter are available, and while we haven’t burnt them up in real mountains yet, the manufacturers Funn are using have a good record for big mountain brakes.
Production brakes will be available in orange, white, pewter and black. Optional shorty or carbon lever upgrades mean you could have a very bling brake for the money.
