Hope Moto V2 review

Hope's new monster Moto copes with the most extreme demands. Power on the trail is huge and it recorded the largest torque on the dyno. Feel is rock solid too, with subtle, consistent control that's a real boost in sketchy conditions.

Our review
Heavy with a high price but the ultimate extreme use downhill/freeride brake.

Hope's new monster Moto copes with the most extreme demands. Power on the trail is huge and it recorded the largest torque on the dyno. Feel is rock solid too, with subtle, consistent control that's a real boost in sketchy conditions.

The unique three-ply floating rotor ran true and outstandingly cool through both dyno runs, with no fade or boil. Feedback from the hills has been excellent so far too. However, the rotor does add nearly 300g to an already heavy system. The lever bite point can be adjusted widely, and the split lever clamp and slotted brake mount make installation easy. Custom engraving and coloured parts are also available, and the quality is reflected in the high price (a standard rotor version is £164).
