Bontrager Satellite Plus review

This fork's chunky looks could easily be confused with those used at the high end of the Trek FX hybrid range, but it's curiously devoid of the cantilever bosses of that model and is instead intended for use with calliper brakes.

A chunky-looking fork with big clearance for guards and fatter tyres

This fork's chunky looks could easily be confused with those used at the high end of the Trek FX hybrid range, but it's curiously devoid of the cantilever bosses of that model and is instead intended for use with calliper brakes.

The Satellite Plus shows rather more stiffness than we would have liked for a fork intended for recreational purposes. But the larger than average fork crown means a 32mm tyre and mudguard will fit under it, giving you even greater comfort levels than you'll get from any of the other forks in this test with mudguard eyes. A new Satellite Elite fork will be available any time now which will be slightly lighter than the Satellite Plus with straighter blades.
