Carbon is king. It can be found on everything these days – and rigid forks are no exception.
There’s no denying the Nukeproofs are light at just 810g, and this made us a little wary at first, thinking they might be a bit delicate.
They come with 34mm carbon fork legs that are bonded to a cold forged alloy crown and dropouts, all adding up to a clean yet svelte look.
After a couple of hours on the trail, even when things got rough, we’d forgotten all our initial worries and were shocked at just how well they ate up bumps for a rigid unit.
These disc specific forks were certainly not as harsh as we thought they’d be, yet they delivered precise steering and light handling. They’ll complement any rigid or singlespeed setup.
There are lighter options out there, such as Pace’s RC31, but you have to pay more for these.
