Good range of offset options. Well made

True Temper range is headed by their Alpha Q Sub 3, and the Pro is a more affordable model that uses high modulus carbon for the vulnerable steerer tube and medium modulus elsewhere.

The relatively deep section fork blades and crown contribute to a somewhat average 439g but it is obvious that they are built with strength in mind.

True Temper advise caution when cutting the steerer to length to prevent lifting of the carbon layers. They dispense with the usual practice of using an expander in the steerer tube and instead use an aluminium sleeve that is bonded into the end of the cut and bonded into the steerer tube before driving a star washer into the end.

The road test was slightly at odds with the lab test as the Alpha Q is big on comfort though it remains stable on descents.

There are three rake specifications available ranging from 41, 44 (tested) and 48mm. Straight or curved blades.
