Our review
Stiff enough, super controlled and impressively light. Our favourite trail fork for '09

Fox’s screw-through 32 Float is our favourite 2009 trail fork. It’s not as stiff as RockShox's Maxle forks, but the new 15mm screw-through axle steers far better than Fox 32 quick-release forks.

If you count the quick-release, the 32 Float is 30g lighter than last year and easy to use too. With no travel adjust circuit to get in the way, damping is superb from new. From small stuff through to bouldery descents, the 32s stay composed and controlled far longer than anything else in the same category.

RLC damping adds high and low speed compression adjustment and blow-off equipped lockout, but it’s the 15mm axle that really makes it worth the extra over the £419 Float R.
