Our review
Smooth, succulent control and exceptional steering precision at a great price

Yet again, Fox’s Van series delivers ultra-smooth coil suspension without the usual spring-related downsides, making this a great value mountain tamer.

Its new steerer and crown have dropped weight by 100g, and Fox provide supplementary springs for different rider weights.

Changes to the FIT damper system mean the super-smooth start stays level in the mid-stroke through most trail situations rather than diving too deep.

The three-lever 20QR screw-through axle is more complicated than Maxle, but it’s reliable, and steering precision and brake stability from the 36mm stanchions is outstanding. Stepped dropouts make wheel installation easy and reliability is excellent.
