Our review
Proper big-hit fork performance and strength for only medium money

The Domain is RockShox's entry price freeride fork, based around the Lyrik platform but with simpler and cheaper materials and mechanics. At just under 3kg this is no lightweight trail fork, but U-Turn travel adjust (115-160mm) at least keeps the nose down on climbs. The stock spring rate is pretty solid, with preload set internally, but after a few sessions it gets into a smooth and very predictable stride. Externally adjustable rebound and Motion Control IS low-speed compression give effective tuning for most situations, and the whole feel is very consistent and confident for the cost.

The optional 1.5in head tube keeps tracking impressive and steel 35mm legs really stabilise things out under braking, making it a good lower cost fork for bumpy/rutted bike park/alpine courses.
