The Domain delivers simple, cut-price control for those not worried about weight. The crown and lower leg are the same as on the RockShox Lyrik but are joined by steel 35mm stanchions, saving money but adding weight.
It’s solid in terms of tracking or braking and the Maxle screw-through 20mm axle is easy to use. The coil-spring feels far better than air versions, and settles into a smooth, plush stroke very quickly.
The U-Turn travel adjustment lets you wind travel exactly where you want between 115mm and 160mm (4.5in and 6.3in). Motion Control IS damping provides compression and rebound tuning, and there’s a fixed travel 180mm (7in) option in standard (£474.99) or 1.5in (£484.99) steerer sizes.
