Our review

Masses of damping adjustment and 2-Step travel, but heavy and pricey
Skip to view product specifications

RockShox’s most adjustable all-mountain fork finally gets the reliability and smoothness it deserves, but it’s not light or cheap.

Historically, 2-Step travel-adjust has always caused problems, but with well over a million vertical feet ridden on our Whistler-resident set and no problems with this sample, that all seems behind it.

The travel drop to 115mm for climbing is immediate and the stroke is impressively smooth for an air adjust too. Once you’ve learned the slap-and-twist actuation technique, the Floodgate platform damping firms up already highly adjustable high and low speed compression damping.

It’s 200g heavier and £50 more than the significantly smoother 170mm (6.7in) Lyrik Solo Air with Mission Control DH though, so you’d have to really want that travel adjust option.
