Still one of the best high-control long-travel forks

The DH version of the Lyrik RC2 doesn’t change for this year, but then it didn’t really need too. If we're being picky the zip-tie hose guide is a bit naff, but the 35mm structure with 20mm Maxle screw-through axle is stiff and reasonably light, which is the important thing.

The fork takes a while to feel smooth over small stuff, but the Mission Control DH damper sucks up big slams beautifully. Low and high speed compression is separately adjustable for fine tuning too. The dual flow position sensitive rebound brings it back up with excellent control however deep or repeated the impacts and overall control is excellent. Tapered steerer tubes are more readily available this year too, and replacement seals are now included.
