RockShox Pike 454 U-Turn fork review
Hardcore trail fork

Published:
The Pike is the original heavy-duty screw-through-axle trail fork and it’s still a tempting hardcore option.
The chassis hasn’t been changed since it was introduced and the solid crown plug and solid Maxle lever mean it now looks heavy for its travel. The IS brake mount is less convenient than Post Mount too.
Its strength is second to none though, and it feels more accurate on the trail than any other 140-150mm (5.5-5.9in) travel fork.
The well-weighted coil spring and Motion Control damping are controlled enough for most situations and U-Turn is still the best travel adjust system around and reliability is great, whatever the weather. PUSH or Black Box cartridge upgrades are also available.
