The Sektor RL takes RockShox’s proven Revelation chassis and simple but effective Motion Control damper to create a bombproof plug-and-play fork. At just over 1,700g it’s very light for a 150mm fork, too.
There’s a choice of 15 and 20mm Maxle Light screw-through axle options, so it’s compatible with both light trail and heavy all-mountain wheels. It’s impressively stiff in both formats too, with no twist and choking in braking ruts or when cornering hard.
The automatic negative balancing Solo Air spring with reliably ballpark recommended figures is a cinch to set up. The Motion Control damping adds simple rebound and compression to lockout control that only gets out of it’s depth if you really force the fork down the throat of extended, big hit or steppy descents. Longevity is excellent and the ‘free’ spare seal kit adds even more value.
