A stripped down, bare bones chain retainer. The device is quiet and your chain isn’t going anywhere

Based on the very popular G2 SL guide, the MRP Lopes guide is a stripped down, bare bones chain retainer. The upper and lower guides are adjustable to suit 32-38t chainrings, which is perfect for 4X racers and all-mountain riders alike.

The backplate is machined from aluminium, is available to suit ISCG, ISCG 05 and bottom bracket mount set-ups, and is minimal yet stiff. Single bolt guides top and bottom use built-in retaining nuts but there’s no bashguard to save your chainring on this unit.

Once aligned, the device is quiet and unless you manage to foul the lower guide or bend your chainring, your chain isn’t going anywhere.

When using this guide with a 10-speed cassette on one bike we found there was a little rubbing, so we inserted a small spacer at the rear of the top guide. This enabled silent running, but no compromise on chain retention.
