Bontrager King Earl Cranks review

Good quality ISIS (Integrated Spline International Standard) cranks can be difficult to find, but look no further than the Bontrager King Earls if you want a pair of hardknock cranks to fit and forget.

Cold forged from 7050 T6 aluminium, the cranks are designed to pair with Truvativ’s Howitzer bottom bracket and they’re perfect for riders wanting to dish out the abuse. Triple-, double-, or single chainring options are available, as are 165, 170 and 175mm crank arm lengths, so there’s a pair of King Earls to suit everyone.

We’ve been running a couple of pairs for a while on both downhill full sussers and hardtails without a sniff of any problems – the King Earls are simple, super tough and they look good in a chunky yet clean way.

With a price tag reading just under a ton, they aren’t the cheapest cranks, but if you want burly, high quality kit they’re worth checking out.
