A quality alternative to more established items

If you like things simple but stylish and need solid hardcore performance, these Funn cranks should make your shortlist.

The broad I-beam arms with screw-in steel pedal inserts feel super-solid, and since we’ve been running them, we’ve never worried about them once. No squeak, wobble or flex however big we’ve gone, and the white finish and BB are lasting better than we expected too. Feedback from long-term users gives a similar trouble-free backdrop to our experience.

They’re a reasonable weight for their obvious strength and they come in 165mm, 170mm, 175mm and 180mm lengths with 68/73mm or 83mm widths and black or white finishes. If you don't want a chainring, the crank arms and bottom bracket are available separately for £147.99.
