A great-looking and functioning crank that’s aimed at downhill riders

The Funn Hooka downhill is very much a downhill-orientated crank, coming with a single 40-tooth chainring. The crank arms are made from heavy-duty 7050 aluminium, and have a wonderful white finish with the logo laser-etched in the centre.

The external bottom bracket has oversize sealed cartridge bearings and the bottom bracket axle is made from hollow chromoly for supreme strength and stiffness. The splines on the axle are also oversized, to ensure that the cranks don’t come loose. The pedal inserts are also chromoly to provide extra strength, but impressively the whole set weighs in at a respectable 1115g.

The black solid chainring with white lettering and black chainring bolts certainly make the Hooka a strong contender for the most ‘pimped’ crank around, vying with the Race Face Diabolus for that title.
