This Centaur front mech is £5 less than before and is essentially unchanged from the previous compact-compatible CT, and non-CT versions for 130mm BCD chainsets. The mech is available in either band-on for 32mm, or 35mm diameter seat tubes, or braze-on configurations.
Previous experience with the Campag mechs shows that it is best to tow the trailing edge of the cage plate outwards slightly as this gives a crisper and cleaner shift when chainging from small to large chainrings. We recommend greasing the cable clamp threads and the back of the head of the bolt prior to assembly as the clamp has been known to gawl against and damage the cable.
