Good shape and decent grip

Nukeproof’s signature Sam Hill grips are lock-on numbers, and use collars at either end to keep them tight on the bar. They also feature a soft Kraton rubber compound that offers plenty of palm traction.

They’re nice and thin too, at just over 31mm in diameter. Rather than a true half-waffle grip pattern, the Sam Hill grips' waffle section actually tapers away about an inch from the inside collar, where your thumb sits comfortably.

The waffle section does add a bit of extra purchase, which is great when it’s wet or if you’ve got muddy gloves, and always useful when trying to yank back on the bars and pick up the front wheel.

To cap things off, quite literally, the in-built end caps mean you don’t have to worry about losing push-in bar end plugs if you take a tumble.

Admittedly not everyone will want Sam Hill’s name scrawled across their bike, but the graphics here are subtle enough that they don't stand out too much.
