ODI Xtreme Elements lock-on grips review
The tapered (fatter by the flange, thinner by the bar end) profile of this knurled grip helps with comfort, but it’s in its tenacious grip where it excels. The tacky compound – aided by the thicker depth around the thumb/forefinger area and the diamond pattern – ensures that your hands remain where they should.
The extra depth of the tapered grip helps to reduce vibrations, while the semi-flanges double up as pads for your palms when resting on the brake/gear shifters for climbs/fire roads. We’ve used them hard for over two years and they’re still usable, although it’s almost time we replaced them (£13 when reusing the lock-on collars).
