We’ve always liked Neoprene foam grips. They’re light, comfy even if you choose not to wear gloves, and much tougher than they look. But the best news is that Ritchey’s six-sided True Grips now come in locking versions.
There’s an Ergo model with a pronounced palm bulge and a more obvious flare at one end, or a standard one for riders who don’t want the palm bulge. Both have enough give to absorb minor vibration.
The Ergos are said to be a few grams heavier but our test pair, at 117g, were 12g lighter… these things matter to some. Fine grips either way.
