Our review

Not the lightest, but a rock-solid performer with eye-catching looks

When Steve Peat began winning World Cups 15 years ago, Azonic made the downhill racer’s bar of choice – so we were interested to see how its latest offering would match up.

The bling gold metal flake paint attracted admiring comments (a standard, slightly less expensive finish is also available) and weathered our testing period well – including a head-on crash in the trees! At 780mm wide with a 25mm rise, the Agile is spot-on for aggressive descending. Bar shape can be a personal thing, but with five degrees of upsweep and nine degrees of backsweep, we found it very comfortable indeed.

The distinctive graphics make it easy to set up, and there are clear markings if you want to cut it down. At 408g it is fairly hefty though. On the trail, the Agile had no discernible flex and a solid, confidence inspiring feel on some of the hardest hitting riding we’ve done so far this year.
