Impressive, well-sprung bar, marred by a hand position some rider will find awkward

This new bar from FSA’s hardcore division comes in right on point. The 800mm width gives serious leverage and at that span the nine-degree backsweep brings your hands a long way back and makes the steering even lighter.

Should you wish to slim things down a little, though, cut marks on the ends of the bar make trimming easy.

Smart butting means that even with the fat section carried right through the bends, there’s still a reasonable amount of resilient spring rather than a savagely rigid ride.

The Gravity Light bar isn't too much of a brutal experience thanks to smart butting

The six-degree upsweep of the outer sections starts right at the bend though and the rise is tall for a claimed 25mm.

Cut marks make it easy to reduce the bar's massive width

That means a distinctively high hand position and a twisted wrist angle that some of our testers found a bit awkward. It’s fairly expensive too.
