Great performance and weight if you want an extra-wide handlebar

We’ve always been big fans of the shape of RaceFace’s bars, and now the SixC riser bar – their flagship carbon all-rounder – has spread wide enough for all but the biggest apes.

You can still get the 725mm version for general tree-dodging trail duties, but if it’s maximum leverage that you’re after the new 785mm is definitely the way to go. Despite full downhill use approval from RaceFace, the full unidirectional (there is no cosmetic cross weave here) carbon fibre build weights in at an impressively light 239g when it’s uncut.

The carbon layup has got a similarly versatile feel too. It’s not going to blow your arms and palms up if you add some compression damping to your fork for corners, but it will still give you enough grunt to get your bike over hard and hold it there in heart stopping, potential overshoot moments.

The textured centre keeps it secure and there are green, pink and turquoise highlight options, so you can match the colour of the bar to your bike.
