Carbon wrapping added to the tops and upper portion of the bends adds vibration suppression to an otherwise acceptably rigid bar, but considering the weight added we’d prefer a firmer feel when pressing hard.
Testing in the lab confirmed our cornering perceptions with a low score for stiffness. The straight section on the drops is well-placed though, and integration of the ergo section into the bend is excellent.
Our only quibble would be that we couldn’t get it set up so both the top section and the straight section of the drops were positioned correctly. Cable routing for Campagnolo and Shimano adds practicality.
