Rose Xtreme WCR RBT-A1 bar and WCR stem review

Shunning the 31.8mm oversize centre clamp, this bar and stem combo steps back in time with a 26mm diameter clamp and proves there’s nothing wrong with it at all. In fact, quite the opposite. This combo is amply stiff, the stem resisting torsional twisting well but allowing some up and down movement, and the bar is very comfortable, reducing road buzz and taking the edge off impacts.

The slightly odd shape wasn’t to everyone’s liking, but nobody had any complaints after riding on it. Although the finishing isn’t perfect, ride quality, price, comfort and performance are all impressive.
