Getting a low front end is becoming increasingly popular with downhill riders, and this stem is one of the lowest around.
It’s compatible with RockShox Boxxer-style fork mounts, and the 50mm version weighs just 131g, which makes it fractionally lighter than the Sunline Boxxer stem, the nearest equivalent in price and styling.
It’s also available with 30mm reach. Its smooth lines blend in well with handlebars, and the low 15mm height suits modern setups. It mounts to the fork crown with 4x5mm bolts, and 4x5mm bolts also clamp the handlebar cradle.
It’s stiff, low and looks great, although we’re creeping back up in bar height on some steeper tracks. It’s worth using threadlock on the crown bolts, because crashes can shake them loose.
