The FSA Orbit X headset is really designed for high end road bikes but it also works well on XC bikes.
Roadies love the 99g all up weight and you hardtail lovin’ XC racers will too. Quality seals keep the worst of the water out of the micro angular contact bearings, while 6061T6 alloy cups wear well and keep the weight down, as does the carbon top cap. The crown race uses slightly stronger and harder 7075 alloy, which will help with durability for refitting for different forks.
