Our review
Strong parts for hardcore riding

Atomlab pride themselves on making strong parts for hardcore riding - their pedals have always been favourites among the MBUK crew. The platform on the Trailking is nice and big without being obtrusive, and it uses six 3mm allen bolts on each side for pins.

The slightly concave profile cradles your foot well and the 1.5cm, ultra thin platform depth (the Crank Brothers 50/50 is 2.3cm) makes for a super stable feel. The axle is a 14mm 4140 chromoly steel model.

Out of the box, the pedals are very slick, with the bombproof feel that Atomlab are known for. Last year's pedals had bearing preload problems, but they seem sorted now. These kind of pedals need long-term abuse though, so we'll keep riding them and update you on their performance.
