Pricey, don't work with all shoes and despite the looks they’re not great when you don’t clip in

Of the several shoes we tried with these, only one pair, from Specialized, worked well without having to be modified.

Shims are supplied to fit under the cleats to stop the sole of the shoe interfering with the pedal body. But with the other shoes, this shim was too thick, and without the shim it was very difficult to clip in.

Once the correct setup is found, they work a treat, but they’re expensive considering Crank Brothers’ Candy C pedals are £120 less, 70g lighter and work just as well. The cleats have 15 or 20 degrees’ float, depending which foot they’re on.
