The Exustar E-PR2 pedals come supplied with fixed and floating cleats that have a large contact area, rubberised grippy walking pads – which are quite hardwearing and excellent off the bike – and wear indicators, as well as integrated replacement position guides.
The pedals have decent replaceable cartridge bearings that are very smooth turning, and a wide range of release tension adjustment for the composite rear hinge. They hang almost vertically, making entry a cinch, and have a positive feel with reasonably smooth float.
Release is consistent, and we found the powder coating good at resisting abrasion.
