BBB Mountain Base review

BBB Mountain Base review

BBB do a big range of saddles, from light and flighty to hefty and hardcore like this one. It's another long seat that provides loads of potential for sliding your weight backwards and forwards without leaving the saddle.

Our review
A solidly built but comfy Mtb saddle that's been well thought out by the BBB boffins

BBB do a big range of saddles, from light and flighty to hefty and hardcore like this one. It's another long seat that provides loads of potential for sliding your weight backwards and forwards without leaving the saddle.

Long 10cm flat sections on the rails also give more fore/aft adjustment than usual. The broad, square nose will divide opinion on comfort, but the flexible hull with a cut-out in the centre provides good landing comfort and reasonable long ride support.

The top strip and rear feature tough, grippy material and the sides are slippery so your legs can move easily when pedalling. You'll need to scrub the seat regularly to keep it looking good, but it's not overly heavy and for the price we're impressed.
