Bontrager Big Earl Saddle review

Bontrager Big Earl Saddle review

The Big Earl is Bontrager's freeride seat, and it is big. The long length is great for sliding your weight back and forwards and an embroidered logo and upswept tail stop you slipping back accidentally.

Our review
A big comfy freeride perch but if it doesn't suit there's a no quibble 90 day return policy.

The Big Earl is Bontrager's freeride seat, and it is big. The long length is great for sliding your weight back and forwards and an embroidered logo and upswept tail stop you slipping back accidentally.

Cut-away sides still make it easy to get off the back intentionally though. The broad nose and firm padding provide good support and there's a 90-day 'Unconditional Comfort' money back guarantee if you don't like the saddle.

Hollow oversized 8mm chromoly rails keep the weight down and they can be replaced for £9.99 if you bend them, but the fore/aft adjustment is limited. Watch the stitching too - most of the Big Earl saddles we've ridden have been fine but our test sample split before we even rode it.
