SDG Bel Air SL I-Beam saddle review

Thanks to its deeply cushioned plastic hulled chassis and curvy shape, the Bel Air eases you through the miles. The I-Beam seatpost and saddle design gives a greater range of fore/aft and tilt adjustment from one single bolt than any rail system can currently boast, and weighs less too. This new saddle is only 185g, putting it firmly in the weight weenie zone.

Build quality is first rate as is durability, and the 140mm wide Bel Air SL is perfect for use on pretty much any type of mountain bike. You’ll have to invest in an I-Beam seatpost as well but there are budget £44 alloy to luxury £90 carbon posts available in all the common sizes. Take care with the saddle rail as the small serrations can be ruined if run without sufficient torque on the seatpost head, but that aside it’s a no-brainer system.
