Don’t expect comfort - The Storm is as hard as they come and is there to do the job of keeping you in place

Jacy Shumilak, mechanic to Sam Hill and Brendan Fairclough, wanted a downhill-specific saddle for his riders – this is what he designed. It’s small but superbly detailed. Check out the raised micro-injected rubber knobs which do a great job of holding you in place, gripping even the sloppiest of downhill shorts.

The side fins and nose get extra rip protection and there’s even an underside graphics wrap. The theme is ‘racerhead’ here so don’t expect comfort. The Storm is as hard as they come and is there to do the job of keeping you in place long enough to get your breath back. Being I-Beam fitment only, you’ll also need a post (£44.95).
