Selle Italia Flite review

Selle Italia's Flite was revolutionary over a decade ago and it still cuts it today. This minimalist seat is one of the few iconic saddles - the long, slim, rounded top shape with flexible hull and titanium rails creates a comfortable perch.

Our review
A classic saddle, still at the top of its game 10 years after launch

Selle Italia's Flite was revolutionary over a decade ago and it still cuts it today. This minimalist seat is one of the few iconic saddles - the long, slim, rounded top shape with flexible hull and titanium rails creates a comfortable perch.

The rounded nose and subtly upswept tail make it easy to move and find your sweet spot, and despite gel, carbon and cut-away versions being available, the original is still our (and countless old-school racers') favourite. There's a decent amount of fore/aft adjustment in the rails too. The only real drawback is vulnerability of the 'naked' leather upper, although Kevlar reinforced versions are available.
