Our review
Still cheap, still a great post, but we prefer the non-remote version

We reviewed the non-remote version of this post last year and liked it, but always fancied trying out the remote version.

The same main seatpost gives 125mm of instant height adjustment, 25mm more than any other post. Unlike other posts, the great one-way bearing lock system means the post stays free from side-to-side slop, even after the saddle took a digger into the ground.

The slightly fiddly lever can be set up next to a brake lever, meaning you use the post more, and in gnarlier situations. But the remote cable is positioned in such a way that wet and muck fires right off the back wheel onto the underside of the saddle, then drips down into the upwards facing cable on the front of the post.

This makes the cable sticky and hinders actuation of the drop lever. The extra height drop can cause cable routing issues, as the post moves down through its stroke.
