Gusset never muck about when it comes to strength and this post looks more like a weapon than a bike component. The shaft and the lower part of the four-bolt head are 3D forged in a single piece for high strength.
The post is also shot-peened and anodized to increase surface strength and the four-bolt head spreads clamping stress (although you have to tighten the bolts sequentially to the same tension).
Like most hardcore posts, the head is inline rather than laid-back and it's designed for thick 8mm saddle rails. Unfortunately, the post is only available in two small diameters, although most jump bikes should be OK. It's also impressively light for its toughness.
