Cunning easy-adjust, eccentric cam seatpost at a decent weight and price

Salsa have never bothered to follow convention, and their sideways thinking often yields great products like this one.

The forged and machined shaft is ovalised internally for maximum fore and aft strength without excess side fat, but it's at the head end where things get interesting. The saddle clamps securely into a broad single-bolt top and bottom cradle, which gives almost a full inch of layback. Cunningly, this sits on a pivot connected to a cam and eccentric bolt mount that lets you adjust the saddle tilt totally separately. Despite the complexity, it all works very smoothly, with no creaking or wobble however dry or dirty we got it. The weight and price aren't too troublesome either.
