Overbuilt for racing, but just about right for commuting or touring, and heavier riders will appreciate its solidity

Truvativ's Team seatpost uses the double bolt clamp, long championed by the likes of Syncros and Thomson, that's becoming more and more popular on mid price posts.

It's more fiddly than a single bolt when fitting a saddle, but it makes up for that by being much more secure and easily adjustable. The one piece clamp is laid back 10mm from the internally butted shaft and the post is finished in a low gloss black, with a grippy matt finish for the lower half of the shaft.

The overall impression is of a very solid seatpost, and the mid-range weight would seem to back this up. Truvativ has a long mountain bike heritage, and this feels like an MTB post. It's overbuilt for racing, but just about right for commuting or touring, and heavier riders will appreciate its solidity.
