Woodman Carbo review

Woodman produce nicely made, well priced bike bits, like this post. The shaft is genuine carbon - not fi bre-wrapped alloy like some - and it even has extra plugs inside to reinforce the clamping zones.

Our review
Secure, easy-to-use and lightweight post at a decent price

Woodman produce nicely made, well priced bike bits, like this post. The shaft is genuine carbon - not fibre-wrapped alloy like some - and it even has extra plugs inside to reinforce the clamping zones. The head seems glued and collared securely and it's available in both inline and lay-back versions. The fore and aft bolt set-up allows easy fine-tuning and decent security, and the central rocker cradle is secured rather than loose, which makes it far easier to set up than most up-and-under clamp designs. The weight is usefully low and the price is reasonable too, so it's a shame that the post is only available with a 27.2mm diameter.
