Slotted clamp makes fitting this budget post a simple job

XLC have included a slot in the seat of the rear clamp bolt on their Comp Alloy post that lets the loosened bolt slide out, so the entire top clamp can be lifted away from the saddle rails, making for easier fitting.

Saddle tilt is infinitely adjustable, but large adjustments using the twin bolts weren’t easy – even short-handled Allen keys couldn’t make a full rotation because they wouldn’t clear the shaft.

The simple 2014 T6 aluminium shaft and zero setback clamp didn't provide much insulation from vibration and impact, but at 5p short of 20 quid XLC have certainly created a bargain budget post that does the job.
