This tyre is raceably fast and tough

Just as useful for time triallists, the Conti GP Triathlon is like a tougher version of the Supersonic, though there's a bit more rubber and a layer of 'Vectran' (a synthetic fabric similar to Kevlar) under the tread.

Of all the tyres with reasonable puncture protection, only the Michelin Pro 2 Race rolled better. If you don't want to take the 'DNF' gamble of the unprotected tyres, this is your next best choice. The carcass is 330tpi and while it's coated in rubber that includes the funky named 'Black Chili' carbon, it's also available in Continental yellow.
