Our review
Economical tubular that’s durable but not especially fast

Besides price, the benefit of time trialling on a more durable tubular like the Podium compared to a faster, more fragile one like the Continental Tempo is that it’s risk-free: you probably will finish. It’s better if you cycle out to events too.

But how fast is it? We compared it in races and roll-down tests to our benchmark clincher, Continental’s Supersonic (latex tubes, similar wheels), and it was slower.

If you want a longer lasting tub for your road bike or second-best time trial wheels it’s not a bad choice, but there’s little point in using tubs instead of clinchers if they’re not faster.
