Our review
Efficient, very tough and light – a benchmark road touring tyre

Coonti's venerable Top Touring was replaced with the Top Contact, which retains its predecessor’s tarmac-friendly centre rolling strip and dirtpath-gripping shoulder tread.

Puncture protection now comes from a Vectran breaker strip (a kind of polyester – used in space suits!) and it’s very effective: in this test, only the Marathon Plus is tougher.

Despite this it’s light for a touring tyre and it rolls well – better than some training tyres. There’s a reflective strip on the sidewalls and the price includes a free innertube.
