The Twin Rail's rolling performance is good on road, thanks to a rail-style centre strip, and off-road the shallow tread blocks allow traction in summer dirt but don’t squirm on tarmac corners.
The large volume provides comfort, although it requires plenty of space between the chainstays. Puncture resistance is decent through the thicker rubber of the tread blocks, but not as good in the cavities where a bit of glass might lodge. Recommended for the mountain biker about town – especially style-conscious teens.
